12:36 am - Greetings ...

I am trying to come up with some arguments and statistics that support the argument that NZ is an Information Society for an assigment (Diploma in Library and Information Studies) which is due at 5 pm today.

Your ideas and/or input are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Just thought I ought to introduce myself. I have had a love affair with New Zealand for a long time. Although I live in the UK I am lucky enough to have visited NZ four times in the past seven years. I spent four and a half months in NZ from Dec 04 to April 05, travelling around, enjoying the freedom, meeting great people and writing a book about it all. The book is now finished and I want to get it published. One day.....perhaps. I'm really happy with what I have and I hope others like it too, we'll just have to see. The whole experience made me realise just how much I love the country and so much of what goes on there. There are a couple of extracts in my LJ that might be of interest. If you drop by please leave a message, I'd be glad to know what you think. Kiwiophiles of the world unite!!

11:03 pm - Hello

Hi, I am a college student in New York and am considering study abroad in New Zealand. Can anyone tell me about the colleges/universities there, especially which ones have a good anthropology program. I am also wondering what university might be located in a place where I will be able to meet Maori people and learn about Maori culture.

11:02 pm - Let Me Introduce Myself

Hi all you Kiwis! I am sad to say that I am not a Kiwi, but I am a Kiwi wanna be. I spent thirteen wonderful weeks in your beautiful from June to September in 2002. I cried the whole way home (USA). I am looking forward to the day when I can go back. Next time I'll bring my husband and show him all the wonderful places in your country. I hope that everyone will welcome me to this group. I want to stay up on the things that are happening down south. I look forward to forming some relationship with everyone! Thanks!

Hey. Sorry for neglecting this so much. Shall we try to get this up and running?
Feel free to advertise in other communities and invite your freinds or else this could turn out to be a lost cause.
Oh, and any ideas to add to the interest list?

4:06 pm - Hello again ...

I would just like to mention the fact that I have created two additional New Zealand based communities, art_nz (named after the magazine) for the discussion of New Zealand art, artists, and exhibitions and art history, and nz_artists, for posting personal works of art by kiwis.

7:17 pm - Greetings ...

[Crossposted in other New Zealand communities]

Just a quick note to say that I have created two New Zealand based communities: oilyrag_nz (based on the well known series of books by Frank Newman, Dr. Muriel Newman and Joy Marshall, entitled How to Live off the Smell of an Oily Rag, More Ways to Live off the Smell of an Oily Rag and Feasting off the Smell of an Oily Rag, for budget conscious kiwis) and nz_writers (a creative writing community for NZers).

I am also the maintainer of nz_poetry.

Regards, Taniwha
